About the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Role:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist provides recruitment and employee relations support that further our mission to help people who have different abilities to receive work support and development as neededachieving the highest level of independence possible.

Responsible for assessing staffing needs and then identifying and recruiting talented individuals to fill those needs at assigned sites. Participate in the interviewing and hiring process by working in conjunction with the managers of the company or department for which they are hiring. Provide support services to Clients in the AbilityOne Training program.

Typical Duties:

Human Resources Coordination

Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance. Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met. Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.). Schedule meetings, interviews, HR and community events, maintain the team HR calendar. Serve on the Marketing Committee and aid in the organization's social media presence. Coordinate training sessions and seminars. Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback.

Talent Management

Promotes the mission and core values of the company by recruiting top candidates who support our Companys mission and display our Company values. Works in close coordination with managers at assigned sites to identify and support the talent needs of the site. Locates and documents where to find ideal candidates (i.e., active advocates, online job sites, etc.), creates and places job postings, manages candidate pools, identifies candidates who meet hiring criteria, conducts interviews, analyzes responses, matches qualified candidates to available jobs, and forwards qualified candidates to Hiring Managers for employment consideration in a timely manner. Builds a pipeline for future roles/job openings. Manages entry- and mid-level employee and client candidate searches. Follows up with hiring managers on hiring decisions. Extends conditional job offers, coordinates pre-hire background checks, and communicates with candidates on ultimate hiring decision. Ensures timely, meaningful new-hire orientations take place. Promotes an effective Company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.

Employee Relations Support

Maintains good communications and positive relationships with site managers to promote employee satisfaction; provides information, counsel and resolution strategies to employees and supervisors regarding employment-related issues and inquiries; reinforces Human Resources policies, programs, and operations to ensure consistent handling of people-related issues throughout the workforce as well as compliance with existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Includes periodic site visits and timely phone and email communications.

Operations and Client Relations

Maintains good communications and positive relationships with assigned clients to promote employee satisfaction. Assist Client Specialist as assigned in supporting assigned clients by assisting clients with work skills and behavior to improve performance and prepare for competitive community employment, monitoring client progress and gathering feedback from work site supervisors, maintaining information updates on clients with company supervisory staff and funding agencies, advocating on behalf of the clients, and assisting clients in resolving issues. Completes annual operations client performance reviews in a timely manner. Makes recommendations as to clients suitability to participate in a SourceAmerica program. Includes periodic site visits, assistance with Annual Compliance training, and timely phone and email communications. Travel to newly acquired contracts and contract locations needing additional support.

Active Advocates

Network by building and maintaining active advocate relationships with agencies who can refer candidates with disabilities to our organization, acting as the first point of contact for applicants (incl. recruiting events, job fairs, networking events, etc.). Represents CU and RO as Employers of Choice through knowledge of our employer branding, in-depth understanding of our business, and knowledge of the labor market, competitors and general recruiting trends and intelligence.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 2+ years' Human Resources experience, preferably in a recruiting role. Will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience so long as experience was gained in an applicable Human Resources or Social Work role. Requires effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Certifications/Licenses:

CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (within 6 months of hire).

Drivers license.

PHR Preferred

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Background Checks:

Must pass criminal background check.

Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.

Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.

Driving:

Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria.

Company travel using personal insured vehicle is required.
