Responsibilities

• Handle complex technical accounting issues, such as equity transactions, revenue recognition, and lease accounting modifications.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects to support company IPO readiness initiatives
• Research technical accounting guidance and provide recommendations on accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Review significant contracts and provide recommendations on accounting issues.
• Assist in the Companys SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance efforts as they relate to technical accounting and accounting policies
• Prepare technical accounting memos in collaboration with our team of experts.
• Evaluate accounting policies and procedures to ensure they are in compliance with GAAP.
• Participate in and manage multiple accounting projects, prioritizing tasks based on importance and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA certification required.
• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, and experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in SaaS or edtech company
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Netsuite, Oracle, or SAP experience
• Experience working with remote teams
