Your Role and Responsibilities In this Software QA Engineer position, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality releases of the Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) suite of products. Understanding requirements, creating/updating test cases, being part of a team of Test Engineers, helping to release high quality offerings: - Creating/updating Test Cases/Test documentation for the product based on Product requirements.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through development lifecycle
- Reporting Status to Test Lead/Test Manager
- Communicating with product developers and team leads
- Setting up test environments
- Troubleshooting errors and investigating failures
- Identifying and implementing QA process improvements as required
Required Technical and Professional Expertise - 7+ Years of experience
- Linux/UNIX skills
- Demonstrable debugging skills
- Environment setup and troubleshooting skills
- Database skills (DB2, Oracle, MySQL etc)
- API testing skills (SoapUI, Postman, Newman etc)
- Experience with Agile Methodologies
- Ability to collaborate meaningfully and respectfully in a team environment under high pressure.
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Self-Starter, quick learner of technology, who is also excited in mentoring and transferring knowledge, be able to multi-task
- Genuine, Demonstrable interest in solving customer issues and software quality
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise - JAVA/JavaScript experience
- Container skills (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift etc.)
- Test Automation experience (Selenium WebDriver, Protractor etc)
- Experience with API testing and API automation
- Software Quality Assurance experience
- Ability to see clarity in complex situations
- Flexible and willing to adapt to quickly changing product requirements
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects
