  • Manage supply chain for all Customer production orders from pickup at supplier to delivery at specified destination, including truck, rail, ocean and air shipments;
  • Manage supplier capacity and delivery performance to ensure material & delivery requirements are fulfilled;
  • Oversee the timeliness and tracking of export bookings and delivery schedules; monitoring and responding to changes to ensure delivery schedules are met;
  • Responsible for compiling & reporting U.S. Consolidation Centers data & performance results weekly;
  • Package and create shipping documents for Haz-Mat material (Maintaining Haz-Mat certification required, IATA, IMDG and 49 CFR);
  • Oversee the maintenance and care for fleet of company trucks, including managing lease, and maintenance agreements.
  • Work with transportation providers to negotiate and setup routes, lanes, and establish pricing; including overseeing administration of fuel service charges, accessorial charges and other transportation related expenses;
  • Perform case studies and develop proposals as requested to analyze new and changing business;
  • Develop & implement new processes and contingency plans as needed;
  • Participate in customer meetings as needed;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Employee will work in an office and warehouse environment. This job may require travel. Employee may occasionally be required to work outside of standard business hours.

In the office environment, work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Lighting and temperature is adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed in an office environment, with standard office equipment. On occasion, the employee may be required to lift office products and other miscellaneous items up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or relevant work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in international shipping processes, packaging operations, and material follow-up.
  • Familiarity with trucking industry.
  • Familiarity with shipping Haz-Mat material; Haz-Mat certification preferred.
  • Ability to speak English.
  • Strong PC skills, with a high level of experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
