Senior Video Editor Location: US-GA-Atlanta Email this job to a friend

Were looking for an individual who loves to tell a good story, and who can push the envelope of how its told. As a Senior Video Editor, you will join the POOLHOUSE Post-Production department in working with footage, dialogue, music, sound effects and motion graphics to tell the stories of companies, causes and candidates. We know that the story is more than just whats being said, its how something looks and feels. Thats why we need you to care as much about the visuals as the narrative. At the core, your responsibility is to design content thats shareable, memorable and visually stunning. You will also take the reins on leading our team of editors to enhance their creative potential. The ideal candidate for this role is not only someone who demonstrates seasoned post production skills, but also someone who carries the willingness to lead by example and push all creative boundaries.
Day-to-day responsibilities: - View, organize and edit footage
- Motion graphics, Sound design, audio sweetening and color correction
- Accountable for day-to-day post production operations and execution across all projects
- Communicates regularly with cross-functional departments to assess scope and challenges of various projects to maintain on time delivery
- Seek ways to refine and improve internal post production processes to increase efficiency and quality of content
- Work with the Director of Post Production to achieve the desired end result for the video
- Deliver final video based on the specifications from the client or station
- Participate and lead daily production team meetings to make sure the post production department is continuously working in sync with each other and daily tasks and responsibilities are allocated accordingly
Requirements - Expert in Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Media Encoder
- Proficient in using Adobe CC apps, specifically After Effects and Premiere with the ability to design and animate title cards, end cards, lower third titles from scratch
- 10+ years of post-production experience under your belt
- Ability to identify problem areas quickly and present creative solutions when challenges arise specifically in post production operations
- An obsession with the details and an eye for design
- Ability to absorb creative direction while bringing unique ideas to the table
- Generate and develop cohesive storylines
- Youre a pro with both typography and color and have an understanding of developing effective designs for digital and television ads.
- Ability to mix audio and music tracks seamlessly, incorporate motion graphics, text elements, animation and compositing
- Proven understanding of devices, frame rates, codecs, file formats and cameras
- Clear understanding of operations and project management with the ability to work on multiple projections and project teams at a time
- High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment with departments across multiple locations
- This position is based out of our office in Atlanta, Georgia and applicants must be willing and able to fulfill the role in person
