avad3 Event Production is looking for a passionate, engaged Video Tech to work with clients and our producers on our larger events.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

An avad3 video senior technician operates, installs, maintains and repairs video and projection equipment, including digital video cameras, projectors, led walls, and media servers. You will report to a video supervisor, technical director, or stage manager during the show run. As a video technician, your job duties involve installing equipment, performing checks, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting and solving technical problems. You will also be responsible for determining equipment capabilities and evaluating setup requirements.

The primary clients we serve are typically corporate clients who need to do a 1,000 person event with a general session and breakout sessions. We support events nationally. You can view us on social media to dig deeper into the types of events we do.

You work well with a team to ensure that everything runs smoothly. You think quickly on your feet when a problem does need to be solved. Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Can lead a breakout room with high event EQ and excellence
  • Help plan and prepare for upcoming events as it pertains to the video department
  • Can serve as Video Tech Director for high level events and as a Video Director for mid-level events
  • Actively teaches others
  • Identifies areas for improvement and provides strategies for execution

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Proficient in Resolume Arena and ProVideoPlayer 3
  • Advanced knowledge of Blackmagic ATEM switchers
  • Skilled in directing cameras in creative ways
  • Basic skills in LED mapping and projection blending

ENVIRONMENT

  • Youll be planning upcoming events from our office, but for the event weeks themselves, this is an on-site role. We serve at events throughout the country.
