What can you expect?


You will manage claims and provide strategic claims advice to large corporate clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation. You will provide technical expertise, account management and business development capabilities to achieve business plans and objectives of the Company. You will contribute towards the Company's profit objectives through the management of claims portfolio and delivering positive client outcomes in claims management and advocacy.

Client Satisfaction:

Meet and exceed service standards agreed in the clients service agreement.
Possess and apply a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk issues and claims management needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations.
Ensure that appropriate claims management strategies are developed and implemented on all complex/large claims and negotiate equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers.
Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers at a senior level.
Possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments through attendance at company and industry training events.
Possess and apply a thorough working knowledge of relevant sections of key legislation including the Insurance Contracts Act, Corporations Act and the Competition and Consumer Act and keeps abreast of all new developments.


Efficient Business Practices;

Adhere strictly to the Company's Quality practices and other systems and procedures.
Comply fully with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures, Conflicts of Interest policy and other MMC Compliance requirements.
Meet reporting requirements as communicated from time to time by the Leader Risk Management Claims and Leadership within Marsh.


Technical Expertise;

Build technical and non-technical expertise by identifying development needs, attending internal and external learning events.


Revenue Generation;

Contribute to broader Company business growth through the cross-selling of Marshs various offerings to clients and by supporting the business development initiatives and account retention strategies.
Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities.
Actively develop additional business from existing portfolio in line with budget targets.
Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources.
Unconditional support for all Company sponsored revenue generation initiatives.


New Business & Defensive Tenders;

Support the New Business and Client Retention teams in the management of tender process. Providing inputs to the documents, potentially participate in Q&As and presentations.



What you need to have:



Professional Accreditation/Membership;

Tier 1.
Associate or Fellow ANZIIF.

Educational Requirements;

Graduate Diploma Financial Services.
Undertake Company-directed compliance training.
