We are looking for a Sensor Engineer I who will be primarily responsible for research, design, development, testing and support of the electronic hardware used within ground penetrating radar systems. Responsibilities include support of new and legacy system architectures as well as individual sub-assemblies. Collaborate with firmware, software, algorithm and systems engineers in development and improvement of sensor solutions.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Design, test and maintain analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits


• Troubleshoot and repair circuits and systems


• Schematic capture and layout of PCBs


• Participate in verification/validation plans and procedures


• Participate in field tests of systems


• Research new technology and development tools


• All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required

• One to five years of pertinent engineering experience in Aerospace or Defense development environment


• Experience with CAD software for electronics design such as Mentor Graphics PADS


• Proven ability designing high-speed digital circuits


• Prior experience with FPGAs required
