ServiceNow CMDB Developer Contract Remote Job Description: A CMDB (Configuration Management Database) developer plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the ServiceNow platform, which supports IT service management. The key responsibilities for this role are as follows: Design and Development: The CMDB developer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, development, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. They work with key ITIL processes such as Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Service Catalog, and more. Automation and Integration: They develop software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS. Additionally, they integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems via APIs. Data Management: The CMDB developer ensures data accuracy and completeness within the CMDB. They create and maintain business rules, data policies, client scripts, UI policies, and more. Performance Enhancement: They analyze system performance issues, troubleshoot production errors, and contribute to system integrations. Documentation: The developer also prepares technical documentation, including process workflows, reporting, and dashboards.Education: A bachelor's degree in a related area is typically required. Experience: At least 3 years of equivalent experience administering ServiceNow applications, including application design, source code management, JavaScript, APIs, web services, and User Interface design.
