Job Description

The individual will work under the direction of Project Managers and Mechanical & Electrical Engineers.

  • The potential candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Mechanical & Electrical engineers with their day to day responsibilities. These responsibilities include: ordering materials, chasing down materials, staging materials, warehousing materials and components, inventorying materials, keeping job sites orderly and hallways clutter free and clean, scheduling floor cleanings, scheduling floor tile asbestos abatements, maintaining & closing out job punch list items as well as carrying out small assigned projects. This is a very busy position requiring the candidate to be very proactive and on top of things.
  • Order materials using the on-line IBM purchasing system.
  • Receiving materials when they arrive and chasing down materials when they do not arrive.
  • Staging and storing of materials.
  • Warehousing and recalling of materials and components.
  • Inventory of materials and components.
  • Maintaining job sites so they remain orderly, clean and safe.
  • Maintaining aisle ways so they remain orderly, clean and safe.
  • Remove scrap and debris to proper disposal receptacles.
  • Arrange floor cleaning and wipe downs with building maintenance.
  • Arrange asbestos floor tile abatements with building maintenance.
  • Maintain job punch list items and ensure the list items are completed.
  • Manage small jobs that arise.
    • Associates in Applied Science in Engineering or Trade field preferred but not required.
    • High School Diploma required.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
    • Proficient with Microsoft word and Excel.
    • Excellent coordination skills.
    • Ability to use a pallet jack.
    • Ability to use basic hand tools.
    • Understanding and living that SAFETY is our top priority.
    • Understanding and living that ENVIRONMENTAL issue matter.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to walk long distances.
    • Ability to move and lift heavy objects.
    • Ability to climb ladders.
    • Ability to work in and outside clean rooms and willing to wear clean room garments.
    • Understand that our building is almost 1M square feet and you will cover a lot of ground each day.

    • Engineering background is (a plus).
    • Ability to read plans and construction drawings is (a plus).
    • Ability to process job submittals is (a plus).
    • Trained and Certified in HazMat operations is (a plus).
    • Must be self-motivated. Must remain busy. Must understand the job roll, must do the job and not be told what to do over and over again. Must understand the importance of safety and the importance of environmental aspects. Must be able to work in a team environment and pitch in as needed.
