Trace Staffing is looking for a hard-working, reliable, and detail-oriented full-time Production Associate / Sewing Machine Operator to sew quality insulation blankets by utilizing commercial sewing machines. Production Associates in the Sewing Department earn a competitive wage and enjoy a great work environment.
Sewing Machine Operator Job Duties and Responsibilities
Each day you arrive at the warehouse and set up your machine to ensure the operational status. As you review production work orders, you determine the type and quantity of production materials needed. You expertly load and feed your sewing machine to produce product and create insulation blankets to the correct specifications. And, you make the necessary adjustments to ensure a high-quality finished project. Once the blanket is sewn, you package it into the appropriate shipping containers and maintain an accurate count of parts packed. You keep your work area and the machinery clean and well-maintained so you can easily report any issues to your supervisor when there is a problem. As a Production Associate / Sewing Machine Operator, you come to work armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Sewing Machine Operator Job Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commercial Sewing experience
- Manufacturing warehouse experience
- Ability to work with fiberglass insulation
- Must have great basic math skills and have the ability to read a ruler
- Must be able to follow verbal or written instructions
- Must be a team player who is also self-motivated and also works independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
***Experience operating commercial/industrial sewing machine preferred.
Sewing Machine Operator Job's Shift and Pay
Monday through Friday. Some Overtime opportunities on Saturdays. 7am-3:30pm
***Starting pay is $11/hr, but increase in pay is based on experience.
Additional pay increase and great benefits once hired on after temp-to-hire period.Benefits including affordable medical insurance, dental, vision, LTD, company paid life, Colonial life, $500 annual medical supplement, the potential for profit sharing, and a 401k plan with company match.
