Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheetmetal Technician to join our non- union shop in Yukon, Oklahoma. As a Sheetmetal Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in HVAC systems and various other applications. Your expertise in sheet metal work and strong attention to detail will contribute to the high-quality craftsmanship and successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine sheet metal requirements for projects.
Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal using various hand and power tools, such as shears, brakes, and saws.
Shape, bend, and form sheet metal components to fit specific dimensions and requirements.
Weld or solder sheet metal parts together, ensuring secure and accurate joints.
Install sheet metal components, including ductwork, ventilation systems, and equipment enclosures, following established guidelines and building codes.
Inspect fabricated and installed sheet metal components for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Perform modifications, repairs, and maintenance on existing sheet metal structures and systems.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging techniques, and advancements in sheet metal fabrication and installation methods.
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative and skilled team environment.
Document work progress, materials used, and any issues or challenges encountered during projects.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, promoting a positive work culture.
