What You Will Do:

Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Shift Manager to join our fun-filled team. We need your organization, hospitality, and sales driving skills to help us implement and maintain our core values. You will be responsible for assisting the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in managing the daily operations of the Museum. You will provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner so that guests will have an enjoyable experience every time. You will also assist with hiring, training, and developing team members to help them spark magic moments.

Your day-to-day:

  • Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which may include planning for each shift, monitoring performance during the shift, taking action to ensure the team is meeting MOIC standards, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager, Manager on Duty and General Management team to help prepare them to run a great shift, too
  • Responsible for running the floor during service. This includes guiding and coaching the team, solving guest complaints, and ensuring that we are providing excellent service
  • Working knowledge of frozen and soft serve equipment
  • Responsible for the upkeep and communication regarding ordering for both F&B and cleaning products
  • Works with other stores to ensure consistency of offerings between all museums
  • Responsible for monthly F&B inventory and sourcing of new products/vendors per business needs
  • Supervises all department employees, manages all day-day operations and understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employee's absence
  • Coordination of new add-on and packages for F&B
  • Assess staff performance, conduct appraisals, and strategize for improving staff
  • Performance with General Manager and Assistant General Manager
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 USD.

Requirements

The necessities and nice-to-haves:

  • F&B Management experience (F&B manager, F&B operations, highly operational)
  • Food Handler or ServeSafe certification required
  • TIPS or equivalent alcohol training certification required
  • Technology proficient (Able to confidently navigate google drive, excel, POS
  • systems, and comfortable teaching these systems to others)
  • Patient, intuitive, honest, and kind to all
  • Shift leading or managerial experience
  • 4 Year college degree preferred, but not required
  • Bonus: Background as an actor or director in the Theater or related industry
