Shop Engine Rebuild Technician

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Robstown, Texas

Experience: 3-5 Years

Pay: $20-$36 / Hour

Summary:

This is a full-time Shop Technician position located in the Robstown, Texas area, reporting to the shop supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled tasks involving maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
• Adhere to all company and customer policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork as directed.
• Continuously enhance skills to stay current with industry technological advancements.
• Exhibit and cultivate leadership skills.
• Collaborate effectively as a contributing team member in a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical control problems.
• Mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Willingness to work regular hours.
• Successful completion of all drug-related and background testing.
• Possession of a full set of hand tools as defined by company standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in required training classes and seminars.
• General computer skills with the ability to use a computer for diagnostics.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Formal vocational training is preferred.
• Experience with Diesel and/or Natural Gas systems.
• Three to five years of experience in compressor maintenance.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.
• Knowledge of Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors.
• Experience with emissions controls, Control Panels, and I&E is a plus.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to lift heavy objects.
• Extended periods of standing.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
