1 Resource Group is currently hiring for a Shop Mechanic with a focus on Tools and Equipment for our client in Sulphur, LA. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing rental tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.

Responsibilities:

Performing routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, checking fluids, and lubricating parts
Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs on diesel and gas engines
Inspecting Tool and Rental equipment systems and components to identify any issues or malfunctions
Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot
Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components as needed
Performing preventative maintenance on diesel and gas engines to ensure optimal performance and lifespan
Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations
Continuously updating knowledge and skills related to diesel vehicle maintenance and repair
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in diagnosing and repairing tools and rental equipment
Strong knowledge of forklifts, generators, trailers, handheld tool.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Ability to interpret repair manuals and technical specifications
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Diesel Mechanic program or equivalent work experience
Experience in electrical systems
Strong knowledge of small diesel and gas engines, systems, and components
