The Bodega on Main is a popular neighborhood bodega and cafe located in the heart of the city. We are currently seeking a Short Cook/Line Cook to join our team. This role requires a skilled and experienced individual who is passionate about cooking and delivering high-quality food to our customers. As a Short Cook/Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to our recipes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to our recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Short Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Benefits
Salary: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
