Role and Responsibilities:


We are seeking an experienced
Site Manager
for the Reidsville, NC facility. The Reidsville facility is comprised of one air separation plant and Liquefier producing LOX, LIN, and Crude Argon. There is also a Bulk Hydrogen trans-fill onsite. The plant provides these products to our customers in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Georgia. There is a distribution terminal and a vehicle garage onsite, maintaining our fleet of tractors and trailers.

Our businesses operate and require support on a 24/7 basis and are supported by a Production Supervisor, Terminal Supervisor,3 plant operators, 31 commercial drivers,3 vehicle mechanics and an Administrative Assistant. In addition, the Site Manager has 10 regional generated gas facilities with 4 Generated Gas Site Supervisors.The Reidsville site is also starting a relief project in 2025 to replace older assets that will require coordination and cooperation with Air Products Engineering to execute the project safely while still supporting our current operations.

The Site Manager role is the leader of our management team at Reidsville who reports to the South Region Line Manager and the Area Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of site operations, plant maintenance, terminal operations and distribution, safety, and product quality. Employee management and dealing with personnel and plant issues 24/7 are all part of the role of the Site Manager. The ability to work with cross functional teams, generate ideas to make things safer and more productive at the facilities you manage are all part of the role. This role requires up to 30% local and domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Management of the site team, terminal team, and GenGas team including troubleshooting plant process problems, dealing with customer issues, supporting sales, oversight of plant activities and plant projects, working with supply chain management, working with regional maintenance manager.
Focus on Safety performance by managing EHS plans including development of safety talk/safety meeting material, monthly site inspections, coordination of Top 10 Customer Site improvement plans and effectively engaging site team and contractors in all aspects of our Basic Safety Processes including formal and informal observations such as delivery/yard/road observations, customer site visits, driver ride-alongs, plant walk arounds, etc.
Provide Safety, Health, and Environmental training to our team and ensure compliance with all company, State, and Federal Standards.
Ensure Environmental compliance in accordance with Air Products Corporate and Governmental Regulations.
Understand safe operating, design, and permit limits.
Able to respond and support plant and driver issues on a 24/7 basis.
Identify maintenance concerns,develop, andimplement corrective measures with themaintenance team andcarry out site preventive maintenance and mechanical integrityprograms.
Engage support resources to achieve plant productivity targets and execute capital upgrades.
Support management of change, implement best practices, investigate incidents and near misses, understand and correct the root cause of failures.
Manage drivers hours of service in accordance with company policies and Federal/State regulations.
Collaborate on daily schedule with Logistics Center to ensure continuous product supply by managing daily driver availability while preventing against driver fatigue and coordinating with vehicle maintenance staff to provide equipment resources necessary.
Function as liaison tactical planning and delivery logistics planning to ensure inventory management of the facilities products.


Required Skills / Abilities:

Ability to manage multiple reporting programs and initiatives.
Management of Commercial drivers and terminal experience a plus.
Experience in Air Separation process/plantoperations/maintenance a plus.
Self-starter with proven leadership abilities and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to EHS,employee development, team building and diversity.
Passion for Continuous Improvement.
Excellent organizational, teaching skills and PC skills mandatory (SAP a plus).
Experience in the distribution field a plus.
Familiar with PM based maintenance programs.
Excellent communications skills requires extensive communication with office staff, drivers, and customers.


Education and Licensing Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of operations leadership experience required.
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering ideal but not required.
Military experience will be strongly considered.
High degree of knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and Hazmat regulations required.
