NOTE: This is specific to Active Duty personnel interested in SkillBridge and located in the Tampa, FL area. Some remote work possible.

Paragon Cyber Solutions is partnering with our Armed Forces to provide mentoring and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after selflessly serving our Nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the SkillBridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" prior to ending their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and we understand the significant value of hiring Veterans.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.


The SkillBridge Intern will develop an understanding of how Cybersecurity firms develop and implement solutions to solve client problems and increase their security posture. Working in Sales / Business Development, you will work with Government and Private sector clients.

Requirements

Perform a variety of general administrative and operational tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group, or customer such as:

  • Organizes and oversees project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives.
  • Create, plan, track and execute plans, development and testing for the complete project life cycle (start to finish).
  • Assign tasks and provide direction with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives.
  • Ensure the timely completion of specific, defined multi-discipline technical program or project of large complexity and scope.
  • Drive execution of the team delivery and roadmap.
  • Identify and coordinate removal of blockers to team objectives.
  • Report on progress, issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
  • Attend and schedule customer meetings, keep and deliver meeting notes, and serve as primary client liaison for their assigned projects.
  • Interface with all stakeholders.
  • Manage client, company and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics.
  • Recommend changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and other documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Participates in delivery assurance reviews to ensure adherence to project management policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
