JOB SUMMARY
The Social Impact Associate embraces the mission of SoLa Impact and its corporate affiliated non-profit, the
SoLa I CAN Foundation, and is passionate about helping South Los Angeles residents. In this role, you will be responsible for
administering the CORE scholarship fund and SoLa Scholars program.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with CORE Stakeholders and Scholars
Promote CORE scholarship application process.
Monitor existing scholarship agreements and maintain regular contact with students, essentially serving as a case manager for scholars
Facilitate and oversee the scholarship selections, assuring eligibility requirements and policy
Research potential partnerships with schools and stay current with trends, best practices, and other regulations
Work with the Social Impact team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of scholarship grant distributions.
Create awareness of the scholarship program with potential donors, prospective recipients and the broader community of South Los Angeles
Evaluate the scholarship program on a monthly basis or as needed
Collaborate with the Social Impact team on projects and events and proactively contribute where needed
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 5 years experience in non-profits, academic scholarships, partnerships, social impact and/or public good program development and campaigns.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to interact with a broad spectrum of constituencies, including donors, community leaders, nonprofit/education representatives, Foundation board members, staff members, volunteers and scholarship recipients
Ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to present information in a concise and easily understood manner
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Organized, proactive/self-starter, creative, detail-oriented, and critical thinking skills required

Proficient in Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with CRM and data management
