Why Wide Open Media?

Wide Open Media Group is looking for a Freelance Social Media Associate whose primary focus is to manage and optimize daily content posting. In addition to daily posting, this role will work closely with Social and Editorial team members to execute on social strategy across Facebook and other platforms. Along with a passion for storytelling and attention to detail, the candidate should have some knowledge of the social landscape.

You will:

• Coordinate and execute posting schedule on Facebook and other social media platforms
• Write copy for evergreen and news, and ensure images are social-friendly and ideal for performance
• Ensure all posts are properly optimized for reach and clicks to site
• Collaborate with Social and Editorial teams to improve social headlines, descriptions and overall coverage strategy
• Communicate social trends and flag opportunities for editorial coverage

Requirements

You have:

• Bachelors degree in marketing or similar field
• A minimum requirement of 1-2 years of social media experience
• Knowledge of the social media space and an eye for changes in the landscape
• An understanding of social analytics and social scheduling tools
• Excellent writing skills, and ability to capture brand voice to reach new and established audiences
• A data minded yet creative approach to social strategy
• Confident, collaborative, and communicative
• Outstanding organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $30 per hour.
