Twilio, Inc. seeks Software Engineer (L2) in San Francisco, CA

Job Duties: Develop horizontally scalable, resilient, high availability and performing-under-load distributed systems in a production environment. Own, operate, and maintain Flex Users team's services in a production environment. Make DevOps a primary concern to ensure services are reliable, scalable, manageable, and supportable. Raise the bar on team performance. Enable feature velocity while maintaining quality by writing unit, functional, load, and performance tests. Contribute to the product roadmap for Twilio Flex, including continuous evaluation of industry standards, techniques, tools, and trends. Ensure Twilio develops and maintains an industry competitive advantage. Telecommuting Permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline and 2 years of experience as software engineer, or related occupation.

Special Skills:
1. Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, or Shell Scripting;
2. Oracle;
3. Linux,
4. JavaScript, jQuery, or AJAX;
5. GIT, SVN, and Mercurial; and
6. UI/UX, Angular JS, and Web services.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience may be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement or work experience. Education, experience & criminal background checks will be conducted.

Salary Range: $147,368 to $177,000 per year.
