We seek a Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Reporting program. The Enterprise Reporting program writes and maintains the BI and Reporting framework and live reports. These reports are used by customers and staff to gain information and insight from the underlying enterprise and lines of business data. Many teams are working on reporting modernization initiatives that will rewrite the reporting platform in Micro Strategy. In addition to modernizing the platform, teams are migrating reports to the new platform while also maintaining the legacy reports that customers use today.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Background with object oriented programming / scripting, Python preferred
• Ability to create in-house applications / framework leveraging third party APIs
• Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL a plus

• Implement integration points between critical SDLC applications and phases
• Support our automated build and deploy platform across several environments and hundreds of servers
• Work in an Agile (Scrum and Kanban) environment
• Frequent features releases, multiple times per week
• Help drive innovative approaches for tackling complex needs

Requirements

• Experience with automated deploy/release platforms (Digital.ai Deploy, Digital.ai Release, Jenkins, Chef, etc)
• Unit Testing, Mocking, TDD
• Scripting Languages: Python, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell
• Web Services (REST)
• SQL
• Version Control Concepts
• Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban)
• Previous experience with Cloud/Container Technologies (OpenShift, Docker)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated project leadership experience
• Experience using one or more programming language(s)
• Five -10 years of experience in Related field
