Position Overview:

This role is a key contributor to the execution of our consulting engagements, acts as one or more of the following functions: data architect, data modeler, solution architect, client liaison, engagement manager, and/or technology team lead on delivery projects, and contributes to the success of the Practice. In addition, this level has heavy client-facing responsibilities, to provide technical expertise and technology roadmap and guidance to clients.

In the role of Solution Architect, this person is responsible for evangelizing data on cloud solutions with customers, leading Business, and IT stakeholders through designing robust, secure, and optimized cloud-based architectures, and the ability to be hands-on in delivering the target solution. This role will work with customers and leading internal data engineers in delivering data solutions on the cloud. Using Azure public cloud technologies, our Technical Architecture professionals implement state-of-the-art, scalable, high-performance Data on Cloud solutions that meet the need of today's corporate and emerging digital applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Expertise - Collaborate with Azure field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse Pipelines, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Stream Analytics
• Solutions - Deliver on-site and remote technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, and creating packaged Data Analytics service offerings.
• Delivery - Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of Azure data analytics and AI services to support new distributed business solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Engagements will include the migration of existing applications and the development of new applications using Azure cloud services.
• Insights - Work with Azure engineering and support teams to convey partner and customer needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps. Share real-world implementations and recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value from the use of Azure cloud services.
• Innovate - Engaging with the customers business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in big data, database, and data warehouse architecture and delivery
• Minimum of 5 years of Consulting or client service delivery experience on Azure Preferably and Amazon AWS (a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the following areas:

- Solution/technical architecture in the cloud.

• Big Data/analytics/information analysis/database management in the cloud
• IoT/event-driven/microservices in the cloud- Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing data migration and data processing using Azure and/or AWS data analytics services
• DevOps on Azure and/or AWS platforms. Multi-cloud experience is a plus.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-based data Integration services
• Familiarity with the technology stack available in the industry for metadata management: Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog, etc.
• Multi-cloud experience a plus - Azure, AWS, Google
• Experience with local/county government is a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelors and/or masters degree in computer science
• Certified AWS or Azure Solutions Architect Associate
• Certified AWS or Azure Solutions Architect Professional (Nice to have)
• Certified Azure Big Data Specialty (Nice to have)
• Certified Azure AI/ML Specialty (Nice to have)
