This is a Sourcing Manager contract position at our Direct Client site in Atlanta, GA
The position will be remote during Covid.
Duration: 9 months
Pay Rate: $56/hr
Duties:
  • Manage issues on a daily basis with respect to the assigned Research & Development categories including internal/external partner's issues etc. Support business partner needs (demand management, change management, process improvement management, etc.) in line with sourcing objectives, processes and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of local sourcing and procurement projects and objectives.
  • Assist with competitive bidding events. Interfaces: All businesses and functions with external spend in the assigned categories Relevant internal/external stakeholders GBS (Global Business Services) Category Managers (global) Sourcing Managers (local) Accountabilities: Support Global Category Strategies and provide transparency between Sourcing and local Business Partners (BPs).
  • Identify, evaluate and classify sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures.
  • Evaluate existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Category Managers as needed.
  • Actively manage local Business Partners collaboration in order to align common goals.
  • Coordinate Business Partner demands within Sourcing and ensure that relevant information is shared and Business Partner is supported adequately. Optimize buying channels and leverage market opportunities Leverage sourcing tools (including e or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation etc (link removed)) Regulatory and/or Organizational Requirements: Ensure to be aware of mandatory SOP's including GxP requirements and be in compliance with.
  • Act at all times within the local pharmaceutical standards/ethics (ABAC)/legal.
  • Report all adverse events to the local PV within the required timelines.
  • Follow all company procedures and processes with respect to Finance, HR, IT, etc.
Skills:
  • Job Expertise/Skills: Pharmaceutic Industry knowledge preferred
  • Effective business partner management Effective change management Ability to effectively manage procurement projects and deliver results Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), including project planning techniques and software is required. Required Capabilities: 3-6 years of sourcing experience in category(ies) management.

Education: Degree/Education: Master's degree preferred or Diploma degree; Major focus: Business Administration or Pharmaceutic
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
