As a Staff Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and providing valuable support during tax and audit seasons. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit to contribute to the creation of financial statements, budget development, and financial analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Enter invoices into Famous (or equivalent accounting software) and meticulously maintain accounts payable records.
• Month-End Journal Entries: Prepare month-end journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Financial Statements: Collaborate with the finance team in the creation of monthly financial statements, contributing to an accurate representation of the company's financial health.
• Budget Development: Contribute to the development of the corporate budget, providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Financial Data Organization: Maintain the organization of financial data with precision, ensuring easy access and retrieval when needed.
• Tax and Audit Support: Provide essential support during tax and audit season by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with inquiries.
• Accounting SOPs: Assist in developing accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Financial Reports: Collaborate with the team in the creation of comprehensive financial reports, offering insights and analysis to guide financial strategies.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Fulfill ad-hoc financial reporting and requests with enthusiasm, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the finance department's goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Famous or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
• CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus.
