The Sterile Instrument Technician I is responsible for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays. Supports daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable instrumentation, including, but not limited to decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes within all set professional standards and regulations, as well as daily monitoring and recording conditions of the sterilization process. Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered) - High School Diploma - Instrument Technician certification through International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) - 1 year of current Sterile Processing experience - Experience in Ortho or Cardiac preferred, but not required
