POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the picking of material for production orders and transporting materials into stockroom and into production departments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify system inventory accuracy.
Logging incoming/outgoing materials into the computer system
Examines stock to verify conformance to proper identification and quantity
Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as version, size, or type of material and consolidate items in locations where possible.
Fills orders or issues supplies from stock and verify proper labeling
Manage storage and organization of cardboard containers.
Distributes stock among production workers, keeping accurate records of material movements.
Perform cycle counts and submit adjustments for review.
Transports material or supplies to other departments.
All other duties as assigned.

1st shift: 6:00 am -2:30 pm M-F

Pay: $16-$18 (may consider higher based on level of experience)

Position Type: Temp-to-hire OR Direct hire

Requirements

Experience with or the ability to learn the ERP system.
Ability to understand/follow directions contained in work instructions.
Capable of understanding simple blueprints or drawings.
Capable of examining a problem systematically and be able to solve the problem.
Must be able to write clearly and concisely in English.
Good communicator and service oriented
Previous experience operating various material handling equipment (Forklift, cherry pickers, etc.,)
Experienced with computer data entry.
Must be detail oriented and have ability to work with speed and accuracy.
