CALIFORNIA
The Storage Field Trainer is responsible for supporting field training and skills development of our Installation Teams, Service Technicians and all field personnel while also working with our design and engineering team to ensure what we design is aligned for success in the field. This position will be training personnel on how to properly install, troubleshoot, repair, service and/or maintain storage systems while also creating a tight feedback loop with our design and engineering team, leadership team and all other field personnel. This position will be a key resource for best practices and guidance on the safe installation of residential storage systems.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with management to conduct needs analysis studies to determine training needs within organization.
- Ensure technicians have the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to perform battery installations in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner.
- Coordinating on-the-job training activities with all field personnel.
- Effectively communicate the learning objectives and demonstrate the principles and job functions related to storage systems.
- Maintain and document control standards for trained personnel.
- Develop a robust training program in concert with our content development team.
- Work in the field on a daily basis with different technicians.
- Perform field safety and quality inspections as required as it relates to storage systems.
- Traveling to different locations in California to train teams and leaders as may be needed from time to time.
Requirements - At least 1 year of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and serving residential energy storage systems.
- Experience with Solaredge Energy Bank is a huge plus,
- Experience with Tesla Powerwall and FranklinWH is also a major plus.
- 1 year of experience in a training role and/or leadership position is a big plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
- Proven safety record required.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Excellent people skills are a must.
- 2 years of prior electrical experience is a plus
- 2 years of prior work experience in the solar industry is a huge plus
- Familiarity with the current NEC and NFPA codes
- Ability to effectively identity and correct issues regarding all aspects of an energy storage installation
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a clean and valid driving record
- MUST be willing to travel 50% of the time although based on location half of the travel will be likely be local to where you live.
