Our firm is looking for a Strategic Planning Director to lead strategy, marketing, and regulatory matters. This role will be based in Houston Texas, USA.

Role:

This position will play a key role within the organization responsible for overseeing the developing, implementing, and strategic initiatives, regulatory affairs, compliance strategies, and maintaining effective communication with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership skills, a creative mindset, and a deep understanding of the principles and strategies of Emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and other stakeholders to develop and refine the organization's overall strategic and marketing plan.
  • This involves analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Lead the process of formulating business strategies and objectives that align with the organization's vision.
  • This may involve conducting market research, identifying target markets, assessing growth opportunities, and developing new business models.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic and marketing initiatives.
  • Regularly track and analyze performance data to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for adjustments or enhancements to the strategy.
  • Monitor relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines at local, regional, and international levels.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor, interpret, and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the organization's activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, set project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives, regulatory, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to gain their support and involvement in implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate the strategic direction to employees, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with sales, product management, and other teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and materials.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs or a related role within the industry, with a strong understanding of applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong Experience with Emissions and decarbonization activities.
  • Excellent project management skills are necessary to oversee the execution of strategic initiatives. Should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively articulate complex ideas and strategies to internal and external stakeholders. Should be able to build relationships, influence decision-making, and drive alignment across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite - Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; does well in technical courses and seminars.
