Technical/Functional Skills

  • 12+ years of experience as a fully empowered program manager for complex programs with expert knowledge of Program management principles.
  • Must be certified PMP or equivalent.
  • Must have thorough understanding of SDLC and exhaustive experience managing IT projects.
  • Have experience working with Executive steering committee on driving data strategies, planning and execution of programs in alignment with their objectives.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams; easily connecting and building bridges with counterparts within different parts of the organization.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the organization using data and information.

Roles & Responsibilities

Seeking a Data Office Strategic Initiatives Program Manager Lead (SPM) to lead programs supporting data office strategy, cloud data transformation, migration initiatives and information product development. The SPM Lead is responsible for guiding and overseeing high performing Program Managers who will be responsible for effectively and efficiently delivering initiatives which are foundational to our data office strategy, transformation initiatives and new information product development efforts.

The ideal profile of this position calls for a flexible and well-rounded individual someone who is self-motivated, detailed oriented, collaborative, possesses leadership skills and has a breadth of Data and Analytics technical understanding, and strong communication skills. A bias to action, supported by critical thinking and personal skills that make this individual an exceptional program leader. The ability to translate complex issues and program interdependencies into simple to understand and actionable plans is critical to ensuring execution excellence.

As part of our team, the SPM core responsibilities will be:

  • Lead end-to-end, edge-to-edge program planning, execution, and management for multiple strategic initiatives in the Data office. Be capable to define the program objectives and roadmaps.
  • Work across all functions at Detect to ensure alignment and support of the process used to navigate non-traditional new strategic initiatives from the earliest stages of ideation through implementation.
  • Establish the critical path of the program, setting clear expectations on program success.
  • Use the long-range radar to effectively manage risk and prevent surprises.
  • Deliver concise, consistent, and timely communications within the program team and the organization.
  • Be an expert meeting facilitator, able to confidently deliver updates to executives.
