job summary:

Our client is recruiting for a Strategic Initiative Project Manager, to maximize our growth and value creation. This role supports various company strategic initiatives through development of detailed project and financial planning and tracking tools for the PMO, assist in engagement and management of external hardware and software partnerships.


 

location: FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts

salary: $50 - 60 per hour

work hours: 9am to 5pm

responsibilities:



  • Develop and drive tools, processes, and formats, with guidance and input from the PMO, to establish project & financial tracking through robust reporting dashboards.

  • Assist in engagement and management of external hardware and software partnerships, including supplier selection, quarterly business reviews, and contracts.

  • Develop and manage positive working relationships with program/project managers, marketing product managers, engineering functional managers, functional leads, team members, and support organizations as required.

  • Manage a limited number of continuing engineering, limited scope development projects, and/or product improvement initiatives.

Must have the following skills, abilities, and knowledge:




  • Experience as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Associate, or similar

  • Highly organized managing documentation for multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Self-starter who can recognize issues and potential problems and respond appropriately.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with cross functional technical teams and management.

  • Must be comfortable reaching out to internal and external senior management directly.

  • Experienced with the standardization of project plans, schedules, and other PMO-centric templates.

  • Ability to respond to and create technical contracts as needed such as SOWs and RFQs

  • General understanding of electronic hardware/software development lifecycle

  • Track record of driving standardized behavior within an engineering community and ensuring adherence to standards

  • Utilize various tools and systems such as JIRA, MS Office Suite, PowerBi, Confluence, etc.

Qualifications:




  • 3+ years' experience within a product development role and 1+ year of experience as a Program/Project Manager


  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree preferably in an engineering discipline


  • PMP or other Project Management certification a plus

  • Financial management for project budget or elements of project budgets with a value up to $5M.

  • Creative thinker with an ability to offer solutions/opinions within a multi- functional team dynamic.
