Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA OR Armstrong Campus - Savannah, GA Department of Information Technology The Student Assistant will support the Department of Information Technology as a Research Assistant on the Statesboro or Savannah Campus beginning Spring 2024. The Department of Information Technology needs to develop a custom application to track applications, comments, results, and post information for students and parents. We are open to either a web application or a mobile application with a web application preferred. The development platform is open for discussion and will depend on available resources for hosting. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. - Develops flowcharts and DFDs to model the application process
- Works with the project team on developing business process diagrams
- Codes the application and find a hosting solution
- Develops documentation and static web pages for information seeking
- Codes other features as needed
Shift Specifics - Up to 20 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
Educational Requirements - Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University
Preferred Education - Students in Information Technology or Computer Science pursuing a master's or bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience - Individuals with prior experience working with full stack development or those interested in full stack program development are encouraged to apply.
$15.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. - Resume
