The Reserve at Mills Farm is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for medication administration-related and supervisor-in-charge (SIC). At The Reserve at Mills Farm, our Certified Medication Aides are responsible for delivering high quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a high-quality, cutting edge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.


Overnight Weekends

LPNs are encouraged to apply.



Responsibilities

  • Follows duties as referenced in the following job descriptions as appropriate: Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course & state test. Must demonstrate competency to perform medication administration in accordance with state regulations.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the staff in coordination or the absence of the Director of Clinical Services and Executive Director.
  • Ensures that resident care staff respond to the needs of the residents by providing timely assistance.
  • Communicates pertinent resident information to co-workers when leaving the community and/or shift change.
  • Communicate with physicians/other health care providers regarding the residents health status when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident documentation.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and report to management team.
  • Able to follow the designated plan of action in the event of a fire or other emergency.
  • Demonstrate competency in all areas of medication administration.
  • Maintain proper medication storage in accordance to company guidelines.
  • Assist with orientation and education of resident care staff.
  • Demonstrate courteous, polite and friendly attitude with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
  • Document required resident care information in accordance with Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must complete Supervisor-in-Charge application.
  • High School diploma or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must have current CNA certification or completed PCA training.
  • Must be familiar with state regulations and willing to work with state inspections in the survey/monitoring process.
  • On an annual basis, must complete 12 hours of continuing education credits related to the management of Assisted Living homes and care of geriatric and disabled residents.
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families and staff members.
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
