Job Description

In this role, youre part of the


Operational Materials Management (OMM) function in our factory in Best.

Its one of the main Operations sites for Health Systems within Philips worldwide. Our organization is driving operational excellence and manufactures, refurbishes, repairs, and ships our medical devices & components in a safe, compliant, and effective manner. In this role, you will be also responsible for the preparation and introduction of changes to products/ components/production processes for released products and receiving and implementing manufacturing transfers from Industrialization engineering.

Youre responsible for


Coaching operational buyers on optimizing the supply chains for their suppliers, working jointly to improve performance related to forecast confirmations, and managing reporting, analytics, and tooling.

Defining and managing the integral logistics goods flow of materials between suppliers and factories, with minimal costs and inventories while maintaining the agreed component availability.

The operational procurement process between suppliers and factory, whereby component availability is ensured while keeping in mind the inventory, obsolescence cost, and distribution cost targets.

Driving structural improvements of the supply chain performance of the (internal and external) factory suppliers (for example, perform supply chain scans of suppliers and improve supply chain set-up suppliers).

Leading the process to agree and formalize the Logistics Performance Agreement together with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Managing inventory levels to stay within agreed targets for supplier-managed and owned inventory.

Leading the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process with the top suppliers, including forecast confirmation as well as supplier delivery performance

Connecting to and managing different stakeholders in the supply chain (planning, production, suppliers, R&D (research & development), etc.) to ensure material availability.

Performing and reporting on supplier reviews, for example: monthly performance reviews, Business Review Meetings





You are a part of
The Operational Material Management Team in Best. Together with this team youre owning and driving the supply chain processes in one of the biggest Operations sites for Health Systems. In close collaboration with multiple Diagnosis & Treatment businesses, we manufacture, refurbish, and repair medical devices & components for our customers. In this team, you work closely together with the leaders of Planning & Execution Control, Logistics Services, NPI Supply Chain, and Reverse Logistics to implement within Philips the new operational Improvement programs by ensuring transparency and drive adoption.



To succeed in this role, youll need a customer-first attitude and the following.




Bachelor / Master's degree in the field of Supply Chain managementis required

Good analytical skills and highly proficient in Excel, SAP or ERP system

Experience with a dynamic and highly technological supply chain

Experience leading / Managing a team

Self-starting, pro-active, make-it-happen mentality, dont give up before a committed task is done, able to get things done from people

Detail-oriented, analytic, and problem-solving skills

A good communicator on different organizational levels

Near-native English and Dutch communication skills

And nice to have

Lean experience
