Your challenge

This exciting role is a great opportunity for a supply chain professional with minimum 5 years experience in supplier performance management. You will have an important role in managing a set of suppliers and balancing the correct levels of inventory to ensure product availability in the various factories in Best. Additionally, you will be representing the team in cross functional activities


You are responsible for

As Supplier Performance Manager IGT you partner across the supply chain to ensure material availability for a defined set of suppliers while minimizing both inventory and excess & obsolete stock. You will act as role model of the Procurement team by providing operational and tactical guidance to ensure our material availability commitments. You will report into the Procurement Manager for IGT (Image Guided Therapy).

Your responsibilities are to:
Identify and screen risks and impact gap (systems and material quantities) across different Tier 1 suppliers from the same supply base, which depend on same Tier 2 supplier(s)
Coach operational buyers on optimizing the supply chains for their suppliers, as well as reporting, analytics and tooling
To define and manage the integral logistics goods flow of materials between suppliers and factory, with minimal costs and inventories while maintaining the agreed component availability.
Drive structural improvements of the supply chain performance of the (internal and external) suppliers of the factory (e.g. perform supply chain scans of suppliers as well as validating feasibility supply chain set-up/logistic performance agreements (LPA) with suppliers proposed by Commodity Delivery Mgrs.
Ensure sufficient supply of materials according to production requirements
Manage inventory levels to stay within agreed targets (LSL and USL) for supplier managed and owned inventory (SMI/SMOI)
Monitors the operational execution of short-term and mid-term capacity, including actual realization, gaps and expected recovery actions
Acts as first point of escalation for buyer when performance trend remains low and unchanged regarding delivery (VMI/CLIP), quality (stagnations, rejects, returns); involves commodity mgt as required
Connect to and manage different stakeholders in the supply chain (planning, production, suppliers, R&D, etc) to ensure material availability
Leads Supply Review and S&OP input preparation for own supplier portfolio prior to Supply Review confirms supplier flexibility and capacity, critical material confirmation and constraints, and coordinates translation with MPS team into shipment / production plan impact implications
Be involved in supplier reviews, e.g (link removed) performance review (MPR), Business Review Meeting (BRM)
Pro-actively drive supply chain improvements, and ensure the supply chains of suppliers are optimize (e.g. stock point, batch sizes, sourcing, etc.)



You are a part of

You will be working in the Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Best, within Philips Health Systems. This team consists of Operational Buyers, Supplier Performance Managers and End-Of-Life Analysts. You report into the OMM procurement manager. You work closely together with this team, but also Procurement Engineers from the business unit and Supplier Account Managers and last-but-not least with the many suppliers of Factory Best.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in the field of Supply Chain management
SAP Knowledge
Good analytical skills and highly proficient in excel
Experience with a dynamic and highly technological supply chain is a plus
Self-starting, pro-active, make-it-happen mentality, dont give up before committed task is done, able to get things done from people,
Detail oriented, analytic and problem solving skills
Lean experience is considered a plus
A good communicator on different organizational levels
