  • Direct supplier selection for all categories and manage vendor development.
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers to manage inventory, quality, cost, and obtain best terms & conditions.
  • Meet regularly with critical suppliers for discussion on performance, planning, pricing, and future development activities.
  • Applies and implements SCM (Supply Chain Management) standards, tools, and processes in a multi-business organization.
  • Lead internal cross-functional efforts to identify and quickly implement cost-reduction activities.
  • Coordinate efforts of inter-company global sourcing teams focused on reducing cost through utilizing purchasing leverage, standardization, technology changes, and overall market knowledge.
  • Leads commodity teams with representatives from all departments and PGHV sites to meet performance objectives.
  • Negotiation skills to conduct complex local & global contracting, and to create supplier contracts that address cost & performance.
  • Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management; OR
  • Master's degree and 6 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management; OR
  • Associate's degree and 10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Preferred qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, and/or Industrial Engineering would be helpful; other fields of study will also be considered.
    • Recent strategic sourcing experience working with technical components, especially in manufacturing environments (multi-site and/or international experience is a plus).
    • Excellent analytical capabilities to analyze category & business-relevant supply markets.
    • Experienced in Transportation, Trade and Logistics processes and tools is a plus.
    • Extensive experience working with high-volume and/or high-complexity components (electrical and machined).
    • Demonstrated cost reduction track record with substantial cost savings.
    • Demonstrated track record of leading category efforts (project management experience is a plus).
    • Proficient in negotiations.
    • Demonstrated ability to recognize category trends and develop strategies to mitigate inflation risks & strategies to optimize deflation.
    • Experience working with SAP and/or other Material Requirements Planning [MRP] tools.
    • Proficiency with software applications such as MS-Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
