As a Supply Chain Production Clerk you will play a crucial role in supporting our production and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate production and inventory records, tracking shipments, and ensuring efficient communication between production, procurement, and logistics teams. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry and Maintenance:

    • Use Microsoft Excel to record and update production data, including inventory levels, order quantities, and delivery schedules.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by regularly auditing and reconciling records.
  2. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor inventory levels and generate reports to facilitate timely reordering of materials and products.
    • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  3. Production Coordination:

    • Work closely with production supervisors to schedule manufacturing orders based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
    • Maintain production logs and communicate any issues or delays to the relevant teams.
  4. Shipping and Receiving:

    • Assist in coordinating the shipment of finished goods to customers and incoming materials from suppliers.
    • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing lists.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Generate regular reports using Excel to provide insights into production performance, inventory trends, and supply chain efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  6. Communication and Collaboration:

    • Liaise with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide timely updates on order statuses.
  7. Quality Assurance:

    • Assist in quality control activities to ensure that products meet established standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a production clerk or in a similar role within a supply chain environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formula creation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices is advantageous.
