Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: 1 year Temp to Hire (Y/N) Possibly Onsite (Local Candidates Only) Job Description: Responsible for planning and management of third party chemicals and cylinder gases. Interface with customers to resolve issues including those with forecasts and non-delivered orders. Ensure that all stock-out situations are resolved in a timely manner. Interface with supplier to ensure that deliveries are on time, correct inventory levels are maintained, and non-conforming material is returned in a timely manner. Provide feedback to customers and management when actual usage varies significantly from forecast and it is impacting inventory levels. Maintain a list of all supplier contacts. Elevate all critical inventory shortage situations to all parties affected and the appropriate levels of management. Perform analysis of inventory based on systems reports. Communicate inventory issues using developed inventory tools. Creates and maintains spreadsheets for monthly/yearly chemical usage. Schedules and maintains chemical inventories. Works closely with customer to manage customer chemical and gas purchase orders. Performs various tasks as needs arise Ability to communicate and coordinate issues. Proactively seek efficiencies Promote change and influence team to embrace new business tools and methods. Investigate supplier quality issues and work directly with supplier to drive effective corrective action plans. Participation in the Supplier Change Horizon process Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics Publish and communicate supplier ratings Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise Ability to identify and analyze needs using forecast, usage and inventories. Ability to utilize system reports to manage inventory. Familiar with Oracle Applications. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to communicate and coordinate issues within the organization, with customers and suppliers. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment Self-motivated to learn. Demonstrate the ability to analyze processes and find new approach to existing processes Excellent organizational skills Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to produce data in a presentable form to internal customers. Demonstrate initiative Supplier management experience a plus Experiential knowledge of quality improvement processes Education
