System engineer

Responsibilities: Collect appropriate data to define, identify, analyze, correct and prevent potential system failures. Develop test plans and conduct bench and system level testing that cover the expected customer use environment and operation conditions. Analyze and develop system and sub-system requirements and relationships with component specifications. Analyze, summarize, present, and interpret experimental data to formulate conclusions and make recommendations. Facilitate design FMEAs to drive system design quality. Acquire data from test subjects using sensors (e.g. temperature, vibration). Conduct failure analysis of subassemblies and components. Represent the Systems Engineering team on cross functional projects. Complete test reports. Facilitate FRACAS process. Conduct system reliability testing. Track system configuration during development phase of projects. Qualifications: - Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Reliability, or Systems Engineering - 4 yrs minimum exp).
- 1+ years' experience in systems engineering or related hardware engineering field; preferably from electrical-mechanical, robotic, or machine design background.
- 1+ years' experience with software controlled devices or systems.
- Hands on experience with either Mechanical or Electrical testing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (mainly Word, Excel).
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete tasks.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and on cross-functional teams with development groups at other facilities as well as take work direction and follow procedures.
- Work effectively with team members to develop goals and plans, resolve problems, achieve goals, and coordinate efforts within and across departments.
