Location: Georgetown, KY
Duration: 12 Months

Work Type: Onsite

Travel: 25% - Will be required to go to other plants domestically in the U.S.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA software, MQTT communication protocol, and edge device deployment and setup. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Unified Name Space and Broker software such as EMQX or HiveMQ. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that integrate Ignition SCADA, MQTT, and edge devices within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the seamless operation of our industrial automation systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Ignition SCADA systems, modules, tags, and scripting for efficient data collection, visualization, and control.
  • Develop and maintain MQTT-based communication infrastructure, including topics, messages, and Quality of Service (QoS) levels.
  • Deploy and configure edge devices, sensors, and gateways for data acquisition and transmission.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ignition SCADA, MQTT, and edge devices, ensuring minimal system downtime.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience considered.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in an industrial automation or SCADA environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA software and its modules.
  • Strong understanding of MQTT communication protocol, including topics, messages, and QoS levels.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring edge devices, sensors, and gateways for data acquisition and transmission.
  • Familiarity with Unified Name Space concepts and experience working with broker software like EMQX or HiveMQ.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting and customization.
  • Ability to design and optimize data structures, databases, and data storage solutions pertaining to industrial automation for manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security measures relevant to SCADA systems and edge computing.

Desired Skills

  • Certifications or training in Ignition SCADA and MQTT technologies.
  • Familiarity with OPC UA, MQTT and Other industrial protocols.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools for SCADA systems.
