Role: Systems Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Contract to Hire

Client is looking for a remote Systems Engineer with extensive experience with VMware vSphere 7.0 and above, experience with vRealize/Aria Automation and Orchestrator as well as knowledge of PowerShell.

They also must have familiarity with multiple scripting/programming languages (JavaScript, Bash, Python, etc.).

The primary focus areas theyre looking for is vSphere and Aria/vRealize Automation including someone who knows JavaScript and PowerShell.

Job Description:

Client is seeking a Senior Level Systems Engineer with experience designing, securing, and maintaining VMware vSphere environments at an Enterprise scale and a strong background in automation and orchestration leveraging industry leading standards.

Responsibilities Include:

Design, secure and maintain VMware vSphere environments at an enterprise scale

Drive self-service automation into our infrastructure based on VMware vRealize/Aria Automation

Manage and maintain VMware and Windows server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Automate provisioning and managing Infrastructure components

Focus on the use of ServiceNow as the primary ITSM tool including workflows that integrate with other tools in the environment and which integrate with CMDB

Generate and advocate ideas for innovation, automation, and general improvements

Interfacing with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction

Ensure all compliance requirements and audit efforts are met

Experience:

Extensive experience with VMware vSphere 7.0 and above (VCP-DCV)

Extensive experience with vRealize/Aria Automation and Orchestrator

Experience in at least one Configuration Management/Automation platform (Puppet, Ansible, SALT, etc)

Expert knowledge of PowerShell

Experience with Windows Server

Familiarity with multiple scripting/programming languages (JavaScript, Bash, Python, etc)

Experience with ServiceNow
