Job Description:
- We are looking for a candidate in the Rancho Cordova area to manage and administer our physical data center infrastructure.
- Technical management of physical and virtual networks and systems, including servers, switches, and storage in a multiple Data Centers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT service issues related to operating systems and servers.
- Ability to install, configure and monitor Linux (Redhat/CentOS) OS and software.
- Ability to install, configure and monitor Windows OS and software.
- Storage and Archiving administration (LTO Tape Library Operations)
- Writing documentation for the technical support staff on systems-related procedures.
- Participate in racking equipment when necessary.
- Operate as lead on IT/Infrastructure projects.
- Will be required to participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation.
Must have:
- Minimum 15 years related information technology technical experience.
- Server and desktop hardware knowledge.
- Experience with SAN/NAS Storage Administration
- Experience with Network Infrastructure (e.g. Cisco, Dell) a plus
- Intermediate to advanced Linux administration
- Fibre Channel switch administration (Brocade) a plus.
- Team player, also capable of independent work, study and analysis.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with shell scripting (or other scripting language)
- Active Directory administration.
- The individual must be flexible and able to multitask between numerous and diverse tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
