Systems Technician 70,000-75,000

Summary

The Systems Technician provides a wide range of hardware support and related services specifically to PC/Printer product and user requests in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Systems Technician must be proactive and resourceful in providing support to users. This position is responsible for removing old equipment and installing new equipment with limited supervision.

Shift Monday - Friday 1000 a.m. - 600 p.m.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Diagnose and repair PC-related problems in a Windows 10 environment.
  • Efficient installation of PCs, desktops, printers and other peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures associated with the Firms inventory.
  • Provide timely updates to team leads and managers.
  • Coordinate efforts with end user and Help Desk to isolate and resolve PC/Printer-related problems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate extensively with colleagues to resolve user issues.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Working knowledge and functional understanding of Windows-based systems.
  • Must be able to unpack, move, and install IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with no restrictions.
  • Will need to frequently traverse around the office transporting equipment to various desk locations and basement storage and frequently stoop, crouch, and reach to setup/remove computers/pull cords under desks and in server closets.
  • Experience working in customer-facing roles.
  • Able to identify and replace defective parts and track replacement parts meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Must be flexible in adjusting schedule to accommodate the needs of the Department and the Firm.

 

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree a plus.
  • Minimum of one year experience in imaging and installing computer equipment.
  • Experience with the Service Now ticketing system a plus.
  • Law firm environment a plus.
  • Two years or more of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Desktop Support, Printer Support, End User Support, Troubleshooting, Windows 10 and 11, Imaging, Hardware, Printers, Help Desk Support, Active Directory, Printer Repair and Servicing, Technical Support, Desktop Troubleshooting, Printer Hardware, Installation, Inventory Management, Desktop Hardware, Hardware Installation, Customer Service.
