Job Description:Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, (including proficiency testing) according to established laboratory protocol and procedures. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed, maintenance on instruments and equipment as appropriate. Performs QC, validation and calibration of equipment as required. Maintains work area, cleans bench, restocks supplies and notifies of needing supplies. Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen's when problems or abnormalities occur. Notifies the director if unable to solve the problem.Job Requirements:Baccalaureate degree in relevant science preferred.MLS(ASCP) or equivalent registration, or MLS eligible under Medicare laboratory regulations.One year clinical laboratory internship preferred.Knowledgeable of computer/software applications. Demonstration of excellent English communication, both written and verbally, as well as excellent customer service skills. Adheres to all Joint Commission Standards, including annual review of policies.This position will be 7pm-7am.
