Location: San Francisco, CA, US

Starting Salary: $58,626 - $70,352 USD Annual

What the Talent Acquisition Specialist will do:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will contribute to finding the best talent for our organization! As a member of our Human Resources team, you'll collaborate with leaders, hiring managers, and HR professionals to create job descriptions, develop compensation plans, and design sourcing strategies.

In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for our open positions. You'll conduct resume and phone screenings, candidate interviews, reference checks, and present final candidate recommendations. You'll be tasked with creating job descriptions and interview questions that accurately reflect the requirements of each position.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for arranging pre-employment testing and conducting background checks. You'll evaluate and provide input on our current vendors, and you'll be responsible for placing and updating job postings across various media, including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, and staffing partners.

As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll also represent the company at recruiting events and job fairs, giving presentations and conducting interviews. You'll be responsible for creating offer letters, maintaining our applicant tracking system, and conducting new employee onboarding. You'll respond to internal and external applicant requests in a timely manner and conduct regular follow-up with managers to evaluate the effectiveness of our recruiting efforts.

We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who is passionate about recruiting and has experience creating routine and ad hoc reports. This temporary, full-time, non-exempt role is approved for up to one year with potential opportunity to extend further.

Requirements

Talent Acquisition Specialist Required Qualifications:

Education & Training:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources management, or similar.
  • Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree.

Experience:

  • 2 years of human resources, talent acquisition and interviewing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.

  • Excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
  • Successful track record as a Self-starter
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Creativity in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
  • Excellence in maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and meet tight deadlines with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and trust and perform in a team environment
