What does a Tax Manager do?

• As our Tax Manager, you will be involved in tax return preparation & review, tax planning, in-depth tax research, and client consultation. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, your ability to research complex tax issues, combined with your high level of entrepreneurship and professionalism, will bring added depth to our firm.


• Manage and provide leadership for individual and corporate tax engagements and tax planning.


• Conduct tax research related to accounting issues and analyze client financial business situations.


• Enjoy hands-on client opportunities that allow your entrepreneurial drive to achieve your personal and professional goals.


• Train, develop and motivate staff and senior level associates

Compensation: BOE

Hours Monday – Friday 8am -5pm

We want you to join the team if you can perform these essential job functions:

• Pre-employment background check


• Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers in regards to day-to-day business operations in English


• Must be able to operate a computer proficiently for the duration of your shift


• Must be able to sit, stand, twist, bend effectively for the duration of your shift

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old


• Must be authorized to work in the United States


• Client-centric and entrepreneurial


• 5+ years of experience including Public Accounting experience


• CPA required with current license in Illinois


• Masters of Science in Taxation a bonus


• Strong tax research and tax planning expertise


• Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to make decisions


• Proficient computer skills are essential. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, accounting and tax software is required


• Team player with ability to communicate well with clients and associates
