Job description

We are seeking an Experienced Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst for a 10-month contractor position from September 2021 to June 2022. This position is an integral component of the U.S. Domestic tax team and supports the quarterly and year-end income tax provision, income tax filings, transaction and other local tax filings, and general operations related to ad hoc tax projects. This position will also assist in all types of tax audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end global income tax provision
  • Assist the external resources in the preparation of US income tax compliance
  • Perform Sales & Use/Property tax duties, including compliance, audits, policy and planning
  • Ensure accuracy and timely filing of tax returns and proper payment of applicable fees and tax payments in all jurisdictions
  • Assist with ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed
  • Build and maintain appropriate documentation of US income tax work papers
  • Liaise with Ops, A/R, Order Admin in streamlining business processes affecting transaction taxes
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with key SOX controls related to US income tax
  • Participate in developing and implementing procedures to improve the tax function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or Master's degree in Taxation preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of income tax experience, with knowledge of corporate tax provision and compliance issues related to multinational publicly traded companies
  • Public accounting or private industry experience
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as function with independent responsibilities
  • Ability to research, analyze and understand complex issues
  • Commitment to self-improvement and process improvement
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
