Technical Sales Manager Location: IN-Chennai Email this job to a friend

The successful candidate will be accountable for the technical sales and marketing as related to all our products - switches, routers, lan-wan Primary responsibilities include developing growth in sales through direct customer contact, planning and implementing effective sales programs. We are seeking a self-motivated, organized candidate who can effectively lead and successfully communicate with all our customer to increase the growth of sales. Responsibilities: - Creating and implementing the go-to-market plan.
- Quantifying the market size and developing revenue projections.
- Creating marketing collateral.
- Doing competitive analysis.
- Helping with general day-to-day high-growth business challenges.
- Assisting with company s strategic planning process.
- An expert in switching and routing, as well as application layer performance testing and monitoring.
- Attain company's sales growth goals by obtaining orders from primarily new customers.
- Management of product line/lines to maximize sales and profitability and establish strong, effective long term working relationships with OEM customers.'
- Provide order and sales forecast information required for business planning, production planning, etc.
- Monitor industry, market, customer, competitor trends and development trends.
- Visit existing customer, prospects, attend trade shows, etc, to demonstrate the company's products and capabilities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: - Should have a technical graduate degree, and 5+ years engineering, product marketing, product management, or technical sales experience, preferably in a networking company.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sales/product management or technical products switches/routers, etc
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Network Analysers / Emulators / testers / Generators and trends as related Testing and measurement market.
- Flexible to 50% domestic and international travel.
- Demonstrate the ability and confidence to increase sales and revenue
- Candidate should be fluent in all areas of Networking Tools with 3-5+ years of sales experience.
- A thorough knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
Experience with the following is highly desired: - Bachelor's Degree in Telecom and Communications or any discipline in Electronics
- 7+ years Technical -sales experience working with channel partners and customers directly, preferably for networking or software companies
- In-depth knowledge of data communications concepts and practices
- Solid problem solving skills, decision making and use of initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Goal oriented, self-motivated
- Able to work independently, but also in a team environment

Ability to commute/relocate: - Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience: - sales in switches or firewalls or data monitoring or routers: 7 years (Preferred)
