Technical Writer Locals only with State Client in Jackson MS

Responsibilities: - Work with subject matter experts to understand technical products, services, and processes
- Write and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
- Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets business requirements and technical specifications
- Test documentation to ensure it is user-friendly and easy to understand
- Continuously improve documentation by incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in technical writing
Required Skills/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, communications, or a related field Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills Requires experience in Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred/Not Required: - Experience with MicroSoft SharePoint Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and XML
- Experience working in a Health and Human Services environment.
- Experience working on large, complex Information Technology project with multiple product owners.
