JOB TITLE: Tool Design Engineer 3 (Aerospace Experience Required)

LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT

PAY RATE: $66.00 per hour.

Details:

  • Contract 12 mos. - potential for extended term

  • Shifts: 1st, 6:45-3:30 PM, 5x8s

  • 100% on-site

  • Physical demands (if any): "When we get to the point of integrating equipment on floor, will be long hours on feet"

  • Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment OJT or formal classroom training

  • Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer

Summary:

  • Project will support 787 dreamliner for boeing commercial airplanes

  • First all composite commercial aircraft that is in operation today

  • New work

  • Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.

  • Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.

  • Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

  • Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.

  • Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.

  • Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.

  • Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.

Required Skills:

  • Huge advantage with anyone with prior experience with Boeing

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).

  • Experience with composite manufacturing

  • Equipment that supports composite manufacturing experience

  • Experience with reliability engineering

  • Really need help is on equipment engineering experience

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).

  • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
